Broncos Rookie WR Carlos Henderson Undergoing Thumb Surgery, Out “A While”

Mike Klis reports that Broncos third-round WR Carlos Henderson is scheduled to undergo thumb surgery and will be out “a while“, though there is no definite timetable for recovery at this time.

Henderson, 22, was selected with the No. 82 overall pick by the Broncos. He earned Conference USA offensive player of the year and special teams player of the year last season.

According to OverTheCap.com, Henderson will receive a four-year contract worth $3,217,984, which includes a signing bonus of $817,984.

During his three-year college career at Louisianna Tech, Henderson recorded 147 receptions for 2,878 yards receiving (19.6 YPC) for 28 touchdowns. He also finished with 32 rushing attempts for 259 yards (8.1 yPC) and two touchdowns.
