Broncos Cut Roster Down To 53 Players

The Broncos officially announced 22 roster moves on Saturday to get down to 53 players on Saturday.

The Broncos also placed S T.J. Ward and DE Derek Wolfe on the reserve/suspended list.

Carter, 28, signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out Florida State of back in 2009. He briefly played for the Patriots and Vikings before rejoining the Broncos in 2011 when he signed to their practice squad.

The Broncos wound up re-signing him to a one-year, $1.542 million contract back in April

In 2014, Carter appeared in eight games, recording five total tackles, one pass defense, and one fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown. Pro Football Focus has Carter down for playing just 87 total snaps last year.
