Broncos Sign C Dillon Day To Practice Squad, Release WR Tim Patrick

The Denver Broncos have signed C Dillon Day to their practice squad on Wednesday and released WR Tim Patrick from the unit, according to Troy Renck.

The Broncos’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. S Dymonte Thomas
  2. CB Marcus Rios
  3. OLB Deiontrez Mount
  4. TE Austin Traylor
  5. RB Jonathan Williams
  6. DT Tyrique Jarrett
  7. DT Kyle Peko
  8. C Gabe Ikard
  9. WR Hunter Sharp
  10. C Dillon Day

Day, 26, wound up signing on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State back in May of 2015. He was on and off of the team’s practice squad the first two years and returned to the Broncos on a future/reserve contract this past January.

However, the Broncos cut him loose as their trimmed their roster down to 53 players. Day was added to their practice squad soon after before he was called up last weekend.

The Broncos waived him a few weeks ago and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Colts. Unfortunately, Indianapolis cut him loose soon after.

Day has yet to appear in an NFL game.
