Broncos Sign DL Bobby Richardson

The Denver Broncos have signed DL Bobby Richardson to a contract on Friday, according to Mike Klis.

Klis mentions that the Broncos are still waiting to hear from free agent DT Earl Mitchell following his recent visit with the team.

Richardson, 23, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana in May of 2015. He managed to make their 53-man roster during his rookie season but was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason last year.

The Redskins signed Richardson to their practice squad a week later but was eventually waived to make room for LB Carlos Fields. The Chiefs signed Richardson to their practice squad in November but he stay in Kansas City was short-lived.

In 2015, Richardson appeared in 15 games for the Saints and recorded 40 total tackles, a half-sack, one interception and one pass defense.
