Broncos Sign QB Paxton Lynch To A Four-Year Deal

The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with first-round QB Paxton Lynch, according to Mike Klis.

The Broncos have now officially locked up their entire 2016 draft class.

Lynch, 22, was taken with the No. 26 overall pick after the Broncos traded up from No. 31 overall to get their quarterback of the future. They had competition for Lynch from the Cowboys, but Denver managed to close the deal in the end after Dallas reportedly balked at the price.

Lynch will be one of the more interesting players to watch this summer and in the preseason, as some NFL evaluators actually believe he possesses the highest upside of any quarterback in the 2016 draft class.

According to OverTheCap.com, Lynch receives a four-year contract worth $9,476,306 to go along with a signing bonus of $5,091,860. The contract will include a fifth-year option for the team to consider in 2019.

During his three-year college career at Memphis, Lynch threw for 8,865 yards while completing 62.9 percent of his passes to go along with 59 touchdowns and 23 interceptions. He also contributed 687 yards rushing and 17 rushing touchdowns.
