Broncos Sign Rookie LB Darnell Sankey, Waive LS Nathan Theus

The Denver Broncos announced Tuesday that they’ve signed rookie LB Darnell Sankey to a contract and waived LS Nathan Theus.

This moves leaves Casey Kreiter as the Broncos only long snapper on their roster.

Sankey wound up going undrafted out of Sacramento State a few months ago. This will be his first opportunity with an NFL team.

During his four-year college career, Sankey recorded 330 tackles, 12.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, two recoveries an interception and nine pass defenses. Sankey earned FCS All-America honors during his senior season at Sacramento State.
