Broncos Sign Second-Round DL DeMarcus Walker

Mike Klis of 9 News reports that the Broncos have signed second-round DL DeMarcus Walker to a four-year contract on Friday.

According to OverTheCap.com, Walker will receive a four-year contract worth $5,073,852, which includes a signing bonus of $1,830,072.

Walker, 22, was selected with the No. 51 overall pick by the Broncos in this year’s NFL draft. Some felt he was a great value for the Broncos at that point in round two and should develop into a solid defensive lineman in the coming years.

During his college career at Florida State, Walker recorded 179 tackles, 41.5 tackles for a loss, 27 sacks, an interception, eight pass defenses, seven forced fumbles and two recoveries over the course of 49 games.
