Broncos Sign Veteran OT Tyler Polumbus, Waive S Josh Bush

Mike Klis of 9News.com reports that the Broncos and veteran OT Tyler Polumbus have agreed to terms on a one-year deal.

  • According to Klis, the Broncos have released S Josh Bush to make room for their new addition.

Klis mentions that the Broncos needed some more offensive tackle depth following the left shoulder injury to starting left tackle Ty Sambrailo.

Polumbus, 30, originally signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2008. He has since played for the Lions, Seahawks and Redskins.

The Falcons signed him to a contract shortly after this year’s NFL draft to bolster their offensive tackle depth, but wound up releasing him earlier in the week.

In 2014, Polumbus appeared in 11 games for the Redskins and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 62 offensive tackle out of 84 qualifying players.

Bush, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jets back in 2012. He lasted a little over two years in New York before he was waived and later signed to the Broncos’ practice squad.

Bush is in the final year of his four-year, $2.204 million rookie contract that included a $104,220 signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.

This year, Bush has been active for all three games, but has yet to record a single statistic.
