Broncos Signing DL Caushaud Lyons, OLB Antonio Simmons & LB Bo Bower

Nicki Jhabvala reports that the Broncos are signing LB Bo Bower, DL Caushaud Lyons and OLB Antonio Simmons after they tried out for the team during their rookie minicamp this week.

Lyons, 25, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Tusculum back in 2015. After brief stints with the Titans, Rams and Lions, he signed on to the Bears practice squad last month.

Lyons contract officially expired after Chicago’s season ended and he later signed a futures contract with the Vikings this past January. Unfortunately, Minnesota cut him loose following this year’s draft.

Lyons has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Bower wound up going undrafted out of Iowa a few months ago. This will be his first opportunity with an NFL team.

During his four-year college career at Iowa, Bower recorded 234 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, three interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown and two forced fumbles.
