Mike Klis of 9 News reports that Broncos special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis is departing for the same position with the Jaguars.

The Broncos have begun making changes to their coaching now that Vance Joseph has been officially hired as their new head coach. Some of the early changes including parting ways with OC Rick Dennison, OL coach Clancy Barone, special teams assistant Tony Coakum, TE coach Brian Pariani and OL assistant Jim Cregg.

Beyond that, the Broncos are reportedly finalizing a deal with Mike McCoy to return as their offensive coordinator and Wade Phillips has already agreed to take the Rams’ defensive coordinator position.

DeCamillis, 51, began his NFL coaching career with the Broncos back in 1988 as their special teams coach. After five years with the Broncos, DeCamillis worked for a number of teams including the Giants, Falcons, Jaguars, Cowboys and Bears before returning to the Broncos as their special teams coordinator in 2015.

DeCamillis actually filled in for Gary Kubiak while he missed a game during the season due to an illness.

Football Outsiders has the Broncos’ special teams rated as the No. 22 unit in the NFL during the 2016 season.
