Broncos Sticking With Trevor Siemian At QB For Week 14

The Denver BroncosĀ are staying with Trevor Siemian as their starting quarterback for Week 14’s game against the Jets, according to Mike Klis.

Denver wanted to see what Paxton Lynch could do with an extended opportunity. However, he suffered a high ankle sprain a few weeks ago that led to the Broncos turning back to Siemian as their starter.

The Broncos only other option would be to start Brock Osweiler, who hasn’t had any more success than either of the team’s quarterbacks.

At this point, the Broncos are in good position to secure a solid draft and possibly using another first-round pick on a quarterback prospect.

Siemian, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2015. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $2.33 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season.

In 2017, Siemian has thrown for 2,108 yards while completing 58.9 percent of his passes to go along with 11 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Siemian has also rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown over the course of nine games.
