Broncos Still Considering Available LT Options Including King Dunlap

Troy Renck reports that the Broncos continue to look at all available left tackle options including free agent King Dunlap. However, Renck adds that there’s currently “nothing brewing” with Dunlap right now.

Although, Renck doesn’t think the team’s starting left tackle is currently on their roster.

Dunlap is the best left tackle available in the free agent market along with Ryan Clady. Outside of Dunlap and Clady, there aren’t many options to be excited about.

King, 31, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2008. He spent four years in Philadelphia before signing on with the Chargers in 2013.

Dunlap was in the third year of his four-year, $28 million contract that included $13 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $5.75 million for the 2017 season when the Chargers released him in a move that freed up $4,875,000 of available cap space.

In 2016, Dunlap appeared in 12 games for the Chargers and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 53 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
