Broncos Tried Out 10 Players Including QB Mitch Leidner & G Tre’ Jackson

According to Howard Balzer, the Denver Broncos brought in 10 players for tryouts on Tuesday including G Tre’ Jackson and QB Mitch Leidner.

The full list of tryouts for the Broncos includes:

  1. WR Keyarris Garrett
  2. WR Jordan Leslie
  3. WR Josh Magee
  4. WR Alonzo Moore
  5. G Darrell Greene
  6. G Tre’ Jackson
  7. TEs Colin Jeter
  8. TE Beau Sandland
  9. QB Mitch Leidner
  10. QB Wes Lunt

Leidner, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Minnesota this March. Leidner previously tried out for the Ravens during their rookie minicamp but wasn’t signed to a contract following the session.

The Vikings signed him to a contract during the preseason only to cut him loose a few weeks later.

During his four-year college career, Leidner threw for 7,287 yards while completing 56.4 percent of his passes to go along with 36 touchdowns and 32 interceptions over the course of four years and 47 games.

Jackson, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2015. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2,803,740 contract and set to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the remainder of the contract when the Patriots cut him loose back in April.

Jackson was waived with a failed physical designation by the Rams just a few days after they claimed him off of waivers from the Patriots.

Jackson spent the entire 2016 season on the Patriots’ physically unable to perform list, due to a knee injury.
