Broncos Waive Austin Davis, Promote TE Henry Krieger Coble

The Denver Broncos officially waived QB Austin Davis and promoted TE Henry Krieger Coble to their active roster.

Davis, 27, originally signed on with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss back in 2012. He lasted just over a year with the Rams before signing on to the Dolphins’ practice squad at the start of the 2013 season.

Davis returned to the Rams a few months later. Davis was cut loose at the start of last year and signed by the Browns. However, he was unfortunately among their roster cuts earlier coming out of the preseason but was later signed by the Broncos.

In 2015, Davis appeared in three games for the Browns and threw for 547 yards while completing 59.6 percent of his passes to go along with one touchdown and three interceptions.
