Broncos Waive OLB Deiontrez Mount With Injury Designation

The DenverĀ Broncos officially waived LB Deiontrez Mount with an injury designation on Monday.

Mount suffered a season-ending Achilles tear in recent weeks, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Should Mount clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the Broncos’ injured serve list.

Mount, 25, is a former sixth-round pick by the Titans of theĀ 2015 NFL draft. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.428 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $525,000 when the Titans cut him loose coming out of the preseason in 2016.

Mount had a brief stint with the Colts before he was signed to the Broncos’ practice squad last year and eventually promoted to their active roster.

In 2017, Mount appeared in seven games and recorded seven tackles and no sacks.
