Broncos Sign G Chris Muller, Waive OT Erik Austell

The DenverĀ Broncos have signed G Chris Muller to a contract on Tuesday and placed rookie OT Erik Austell on waivers, according to Cameron Wolfe.

Muller, 23, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers shortly after this year’s draft. However, he lasted just a few weeks with the team before he was placed on waivers.

During his Senior year at Rutgers, Muller started all 12 games at right guard. He never missed a game in his college career and started 49 of 50 games for them.

Austell, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Charleston Southern but was a priority rookie signing for the Broncos. He actually converted to offensive line after his redshirt freshman season.

In total, Austell started 39 games during his college career and was a first-team All-Big South and second-team FCS All-America as a senior.
