Broncos Waive TE Richard Gordon, Promote S Josh Bush

The Denver Broncos announced that they’ve waived TE Richard Gordon on Tuesday and promoted S Josh Bush to their active roster.

  • The Broncos also released TE Arthur Lynch from their practice squad.

Gordon, 28, was taken in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Raiders. He spent two years with Oakland before he was waived and later caught on with the Steelers.

The Chiefs re-signed him as an unrestricted free agent in March before later releasing him from injured reserve with a settlement.

Gordon signed with the Broncos in recent weeks, but was released to make room for Bibbs, who was signed from their practice squad.

This season, Gordon appeared in one game, but hasn’t recorded a single statistic.

Bush, 26, is a former sixth round pick of the Jets back in 2012. He spent over two years in New York before he was cut mid-season last year. He later signed on to the Broncos’ practice squad before eventually joining the Bills a few months ago.

This season, Bush has appeared in three games, but hasn’t recorded a single statistic.
