Adam Schefter reports that Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas underwent an MRI on Friday after injuring his hip during Thursday night’s preseason opener.
- According to Schefter, Thomas is expected to get a second opinion on his hip before determining what comes next.
- Schefter adds that there is some concern about a potential labrum issue with Thomas’ hip.
Thomas, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2010. He currently in the second year of his five-year, $70 million contract that included $43.5 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $13 million for the 2016 season.
In 2016, Thomas has caught four passes for 48 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
