Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas Underwent MRI For Hip Injury, Getting 2nd Opinion

Adam Schefter reports that Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas underwent an MRI on Friday after injuring his hip during Thursday night’s preseason opener.

  • According to Schefter, Thomas is expected to get a second opinion on his hip before determining what comes next.
  • Schefter adds that there is some concern about a potential labrum issue with Thomas’ hip.

Thomas, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Broncos back in 2010. He currently in the second year of his five-year, $70 million contract that included $43.5 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $13 million for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Thomas has caught four passes for 48 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
