Update:

Despite numerous reports and consistent speculation for weeks now, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Browns are not expected to make any major trades before today’s deadline.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Browns are “motivated sellers” ahead of the upcoming trade deadline and are willing to eat a portion of OLB Paul Kruger‘s contract to move him in a deal.

Kruger is among several Browns’ players reportedly on the trading block including LT Joe Thomas , OLB Barkevious Mingo, CB Justin Gilbert and possibly QB Johnny Manziel.

Earlier in the day, Tony Grossi mentioned that Kruger could appeal to a contending team like the Cardinals.

Kruger, 29, is in the third year of his five-year, $40.5 million contract that included $20 million guaranteed. He stands to make base salaries of $7 million (2015), $6.5 million (2016), and $7 million (2017) over the remainder of the agreement.

This season, Kruger has appeared in eight games and recorded 15 tackles and a half sack for the Browns.

We’ll have more regarding a potential trade involving Kruger as the news is available.
