Browns Officially Cut 18 Players

The Cleveland Browns¬†have begun the process of trimming their roster down to 53¬†players. Here’s the list of roster cuts up to this point:

  2. DL Chigbo Anunoby
  3. DB Pierre Desir
  4. RB Jahwan Edwards
  5. DB Mikell Everette
  6. OL Dan France
  7. WR Taylor Gabriel
  8. DB Charles Gaines
  9. OL Garth Gerhart
  10. TE Connor Hamlett
  11. TE J.P. Holtz
  12. WR Darius Jennings
  13. OL Kaleb Johnson
  14. OL Mike Matthews
  15. LB Jason Neill
  16. DB Eric Patterson
  17. P Kasey Redfern
  18. LB Justin Tuggle

Other roster moves include:

  • WR Josh Gordon and DL Armonty Bryant (Suspended List)
  • RB Rajion Neal (Injured Reserve)

Desir, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2014. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $2.63 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Desir appeared in 14 games for the Browns and recorded 37 tackles, no interceptions and five pass defenses.
