Pompei mentions that the Browns chances of getting Mack locked up before the start of free agency aren’t very good unless they’re willing to overpay him and rules out the franchise tag based on the fact that it would cost Cleveland close to $11 million.
Pompei goes as far to say that Mack could end up being one of the-five highest paid centers in the league following free agency.
