Browns Claim LB Jeremy Cash, Waive LB Deon King

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Browns have claimed LB Jeremy Cash off of waivers from the Giants on Wednesday.

The Browns waived LB Deon King in a corresponding move.

Cash, 25, signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in May of last year. He is in the second year of a three-year, $1.62 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

The Panthers placed Cash on injured reserve a few months ago before being waived with a settlement soon after. Cash had a brief stint with the Giants.

In 2016, Cash appeared in eight games for the Panthers and recorded six total tackles.
