The Cleveland Browns claimed OL Abasi Salimu off of waivers from the St. Louis Rams on Wednesday, according to the NFL transaction release.
- The Browns also waived WR Conner Vernon, RB Royce Adams, and LB Brandon Magee.
Salimu was placed on waivers Tuesday after the Rams signed four players to their 90-man roster.
Salimu wound up transferring from San Jose State to Nicholls State for his final two college seasons. He earned second-team honors as a senior in 2013 and wound up starting 24 games for the Colonels.
