Browns Could Be A Landing Spot For Teddy Bridgewater At No. 26 Overall?

According to Ian Rapoport, the Browns could have their eye on Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater at No. 26 overall should they pass on a quarterback at No. 4.

  • Rapoport adds that Cleveland’s scouts like Bridgewater.

So far today we’ve heard that the Browns could have a tough time passing on Johnny Manziel at No. 4 overall and possibly even pass on quarterbacks with both of their first-round picks only trade back into round for whoever’s available.

The amount of smoke or buzz, which ever you prefer, surrounding the Browns is really quite amazing right now.

I wish I could with any amount of certainty what they are likely to do with either of their picks, but there are seemingly endless ways they could at either point.

As for Bridgewater, this is really one of the only indications we’ve seen in recent days that he has any chance of being draft on Thursday. That’s not to say it’s impossible, but just that if teams are interested in him, they are doing a great job of keeping it under wraps.

For what it’s worth, we have the Browns taking Manziel at No. 4 and then grabbing Jordan Matthews at No. 26 in the first round of our recently updated 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
