Browns Have Discussed Trade Involving CB Joe Haden, Talks Could “Ramp Up

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Browns CB Joe Haden has been a part of trade talks in recent weeks.

According to Rapoport, if Haden shows he’s healthy, it’s possible that trade talks “ramp up” in the days leading up to Tuesday’s deadline.

This isn’t the first we’ve heard about Haden being on the trading

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Browns could field trade offers for Haden and Tramon Williams ahead of next week’s deadline and Jason Cole of B/R previously tossed Haden out as someone to watch in regards to a potential trade.

Haden, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Browns back in 2010. He’s currently in the third year of his six-year, $74.678 million contract that includes $45 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $10.1 million for the 2016 season.

This year, Haden has appeared in four games for the Browns and has recorded 19 tackles, two interceptions, and five pass defenses for the Browns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 25 cornerback out of 115 qualifying players.
