Browns Have Discussed Trading CB Tramon Williams

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that the Browns have also discussed the possibility of trading veteran CB Tramon Williams along with CB Joe Haden.

This fits with a previous report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who mentioned that the Browns could field trade offers for for both players ahead of today’s deadline.

Williams, 33, spent eight years in Green Bay before signing a three-year, $21 million contract that included $10 million guaranteed with the Browns last year. He stands to make a base salary of $6.2 million for the 2016 and another $5.7 million next year.

In 2016, Williams has appeared in six games and recorded 22 tackles, one interception and a pass defense for the Browns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 96 cornerback out of 118 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding potential trades involving either player as the news is available.
