Browns Expected To Pick Up QB Brian Hoyer’s Roster Bonus

ESPN’s Adam Caplan mentions that he expects the Cleveland Browns to pick QB Brian Hoyer‘s $250,000 roster bonus that will be due on March 15.

This probably doesn’t qualify as a major surprise, especially after some have mentioned that the Browns could part ways with quarterbacks Jason Campbell and former first-round pick Brandon Weeden in the coming months.

Hoyer, 28, actually looked like a very serviceable quarterback earlier in the season before he suffered a season-ending knee injury. In three games, he threw for 615 yards, five touchdowns to go along with three interceptions.

Many expect the Browns to target a quarterback with their first-round pick and Texans A&M QB Johnny Manziel continues to be a popular speculative option for Cleveland.
