Browns Expected To Shop QB Cody Kessler For Trade Offers

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Browns are expected to shop QB Cody Kessler now that they have Tyrod Taylor and Drew Stanton on their roster and are likely to draft a quarterback next month.

The Browns have already traded DeShone Kizer to the Packers, so it should come as no surprise to hear they could do the same with Kessler in the coming months.

However, it will likely be harder for the Browns to recoup value for Kessler, seeing as a number of teams are expected to draft quarterbacks.

Kessler, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $3.3 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $758,098 and $912,147 over the final two years of the agreement.

For his career, Kessler has thrown for 1,506 yards while completing 63.8 percent of his passes to go along with six touchdowns and three interceptions over the course of 12 games.

We’ll have more regarding Kessler as the news is available.
