ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Browns are likely to sign K Cody Parkey to a contract following the news that K Patrick Murray hurt his knee earlier in the day.

Parkey, 24, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May of 2014. He lasted just a few months in Indianapolis before he was traded to the Eagles in return for RB David Fluellen.

The Eagles elected to cut Parakey loose coming out of the preseason a few weeks ago.

In 2015, Parkey appeared in three games for the Eagles and converted three of four field goal attempts to go along with seven extra point tries before being placed on injured reserve.
