Browns Getting RB Peyton Hillis Back For Week 12

Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur hinted at the possiblity of RB Peyton Hillis playing this weekend after he was to practice Friday’s practice, per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

It’s looking very positive for this game,” Hillis told The Plain Dealer. “We’re all shooting for this Sunday. . . . I’m working my best to get out there, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity. I’m eager and excited about it.”

It’s an interesting piece news considering that the team has been quick to rule out Hillis for each of the last few weeks which suggested that he was no where near close to returning from a hamstring injury. It was a good move by the coaching staff as it helped to shift the focus of Hillis’s terrible 2011 season.

Shurmur added that he plans on spreading the ball around this weekend which likely means that Montario Hardesty and Chris Ogbonnaya both see a decent amount of action. Hillis possibly get goalline carries but that’s purely speculation.
