Browns Hosting QBs Lamar Jackson & Josh Allen For Pre-Draft Visits This Week

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Browns are scheduled to host Wyoming QB Josh Allen for a visit on Thursday and Louisville QB Lamar Jackson on Friday.

The Browns are clearly doing extensive work on the quarterback position this year. Many feel Cleveland will open the draft by taking USC’s Sam Darnold at No. 1 overall, but there has been some buzz about Allen possibly being their guy.

Jackson seems like an unlikely option for the Browns, but many feel he’ll still be a first-round pick when all is said and done.

There have been reports that teams have had trouble setting up workouts and meetings with Jackson, but it looks like the Ravens managed to get him on their schedule.

During his three years at Louisville, Jackson threw for 9,043 yards while completing 57 percent of his passes to go along with 69 touchdowns and 27 interceptions. He also rushed for 4,132 yards and 50 touchdowns.

Allen, 21, impressive arm and overall skill set, but there are concerns about his accuracy and how this will impact him at the next level. Throughout the draft process, Allen has done a good job of trying to alleviate some of the concerns about his accuracy.

During his college career at Wyoming, Allen threw for 4,912 yards while completing 56.2 percent of his passes to go along with 41 touchdowns 21 interceptions over the course of 26 games. He also rushed for 770 yards and 12 touchdowns for Wyoming.

We have the Browns taking Darnold at No. 1 overall in our latest 2018 NFL Mock Draft.
