Browns Hosting RB Joe Mixon, RB Dalvin Cook, CB Quincy Wilson, LB Takkarist McKinley

Albert Breer confirms the report that Florida State RB Dalvin Cook is visiting with the Browns on Monday and adds that Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon, UCLA LB Takkarist McKinley and Florida CB Quincy Wilson are also meeting with Cleveland.

Despite the obvious concerns, Mixon has drawn a lot of interest from NFL teams in recent weeks.

Mixon has visited with the Packers, Saints, Chargers, Raiders, Bengals and Broncos this month and Aditi Kinkhabwala reported that the Lions, Saints, Bengals and Browns all met with Mixon privately before his Pro Day.

There has been a lot of buzz about Mixon being a potential second-round pick, even after the incident in which he punched a female student and missed a full season.

Mixon, 20, is considered to be one of the best running back talents in a deep draft class and may have been a first-round pick if there weren’t serious off-the-field concerns.

During his college career at Oklahoma, Mixon has rushed for 2,027 yards on 301 carries (6.7 YPC) to go along with 65 receptions for 894 yards receiving and 26 total touchdowns over the courses of 25 games. Mixon has also contributed 504 kick return yards and a touchdown.

Cook, 21, is considered to be one of the best running back prospects in this year’s draft class. His combine performance was disappointing, but NFL teams seem to think his overall resume outweighs some of the concerns that arose from his workout in Indianapolis.

During his three years at Florida State, Cook appeared in 38 games and rushed for 4,464 yards on 687 carries (6.5 YPC) to go along with 79 receptions for 935 yards receiving and 48 total touchdowns.
