Browns Still Targeting Nick Saban & Josh McDaniels As HC Options

NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports that the Browns still have their eyes set on Alabama head coach Nick Saban and Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as potential options to takeover as the team as head coach next season.

Saban has said numerous times that intends to stay in Alabama, but this wouldn’t be the first time that he’s said one thing and done another. La Canfora mentions that Saban told reporters that was not interested in the Alabama job and later took the position just a few weeks later.

Saban has plenty of ties to new owner Jimmy Haslam and NFL Network analyst Mike Lombardi is reportedly an option for the team’s GM job. La Canfora’s source puts the chances of Saban leaving at “80/20 he stays.”

As for McDaniels, he has similar ties and is considered to be one of the best offensive minds in the game, so there’s a chance that he could be given his second opportunity to be a head coach.
