Browns Not Committed To QB Brandon Weeden?

According to Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski, it would be “premature” to assume that they are committed to Brandon Weeden being their starter next season, per Mary Kay Cabot.

“I think it’s premature to say that,” said Chudzinski.

Earlier indications would suggest that the new regime is not very high Weeden in general. Michael Lombardi has been brought in as their VP of football operations and he was very skeptical about the Browns taking Weeden a year ago. The additions of Norv Turner and Chudzinski to their coaching staff only suggests that they’ll consider all of their available options before committing to any one player.

Weeden had a less than stellar 2012 rookie campaign, so it makes sense that Browns would look for solutions in either free agent market or the draft.
