Browns Not Interested In Trading For Packers WR James Jones

Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer mentions that the Browns do not interest in pursuing Packers WR James Jones, who has been rumored to be on the trading block in recent weeks.

Cabot adds that Cleveland will not be signing Plaxico Burress, Terrell Owens, and Braylon Edwards and instead, plans to go with Mohamed Massaquoi and Greg Little next season.

As for the Packers, they appear to be stuck with Jones. His contract certainly isn’t the main issue in regards to the lack of interest in trading for him. Last year, when he was a free agent, Jones found very little interest on the open market. The Vikings were supposedly close to signing him at one point, but ultimately opted to re-sign with Green Bay. If the Packers are unable to move him, there’s a decent enough chance that they could carry six receivers this season, which would allow them to keep either Tori Gurley or Diondre Borel.
