Browns Open To Re-Signing TE Jordan Cameron, But At “The Right Price”

Browns HC Mike Pettine told reporters on Wednesday they have discussed the idea of re-signing free agent TE Jordan Cameron, per Mary Kay Cabot.

  • However, Pettine added that they would likely only do so at “the right price.”

The Browns will have plenty of cap space to work with, so it will be interesting to see talks get off the ground before the start of free agency next month.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports previously reported that Cameron is not interested in returning to Cleveland next year, due to the issues within the Browns organization.

Cameron, 26, has played out his four-year, $2,517,400 rookie contract and will be an unrestricted free agent in the coming months.

It appeared as though Cameron was in line to be one of the most sought after players in this year’s free agent market, but he has dealt with some rather serious concussions over the course of his career.

In 2014, Cameron was limited to appearing in 10 games and catching 24 passes for 424 yards receiving to go along with two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 56 tight end out of 67 qualifying players.

We have Cameron listed as the No. 25 player in our Top 75 Free Agents list.
