Browns Open To Trading No. 1 Overall Pick

On Thursday, Browns GM John Dorsey told reporters at the Combine that he’s open to everything including trading the No. 1 overall pick.

“There’s a lot of things I can do at No. 1 and not just get a quarterback,” Dorsey said, via Pro Football Talk. “My door is wide open if somebody wants to come up and talk to me about a trade, I’m willing to trade. But also I’m going to do what’s best for this organization, and I will do that.

Dorsey explained that the would also consider moving the No. 4 overall pick and welcomes calls from interested teams.

“Any good G.M. wants to field phone calls from all of his peers. Why wouldn’t I?” Dorsey said. “That’s why I say, ‘Give me a call and see what’s up.’

Cleveland is widely expected to use the top pick on a quarterback prospect. Dorsey admitted that this is a crucial offseason for his team.

“As an organization, we understand this is a pivotal offseason for us,” Dorsey said. “We have really done our due diligence in laying out a plan, and I feel really good about that plan moving forward.”

We’ll have more regarding the Browns possibly moving their first-round picks as the news is available.
