Browns Perfect Draft Greg Robinson, Teddy Bridgewater & Carlos Hyde?

Update:

Mary Kay Cabot is now reporting that the Browns have also explored the idea of trading up from No. 26 to draft Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater.

According to Cabot, Bridgewater is Browns’ GM “Ray Farmer’s guy.”

Mary Kay Cabot is “hearing” that the Browns’ perfect draft would be taking OT Greg Robinson at No. 4, QB Teddy Bridgewater at No. 26 and then targeting either a receiver or a running back such as Carlos Hyde at No. 35 overall.

Last night, Cabot mentioned that Hyde was one the Browns radar at No. 35 overall, so this news clearly builds on that idea.

Jay Glazer reported that the Browns would not take Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel at No. 4 overall, so it seems likely that they would be looking to grab the best available quarterback by the time they are on the clock again at No. 26 overall.

Some have suggested that Fresno State QB Derek Carr could be a target for them at No. 26, but there is always a chance that they would prefer to select Bridgewater.

Drafting an offensive tackle early is another intriguing idea as Robinson would make for an impressive pair of offensive tackles to build around.

We’ll have more regarding the Browns as the news is available.
