Browns Place CB Reggie Porter On Injured Reserve, Promote CB Darius Hillary

The Cleveland Browns announced Wednesday that they’ve promoted CB Darius Hillary to their active roster and placed CB Reggie Porter on injured reserve with an Achilles injury.

The Browns’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. RB Terrence Magee
  2. OT Zach Sterup
  3. DB C.J. Smith
  4. DE Tyron Holmes
  5. WR Bug Howard
  6. LB Austin Calitro
  7. WR Rannell Hall
  8. OT Andrew Wylie
  9. OT Victor Salako
  10. OL Korren Kirven

Porter, 23, is an undrafted free agent out of Utah and originally signed with the Colts. He was, unfortunately, released by Indianapolis in June but caught on with the Ravens a month later.

Baltimore waived him coming out of the preseason before later adding him to their practice squad. The Browns signed him off of the Ravens’ taxi squad a few weeks into the regular season.

During his three-year college career, Porter recorded 91 total tackles, two tackles for loss, two interceptions, 16 pass defenses, and one fumble recovery.

In 2017, Porter has appeared in three games, but has yet to record a statistic.
