The Cleveland Browns placed DE John Hughes on injured reserve with the designated to return on Monday, according to the NFL transaction release.
Hughes, 25, was taken in the third round pick of the 2012 draft by the Browns. He has appeared in 31 games during his first two years in the league.
This season, Hughes has played a total of 167 snaps for the Browns’ defense and recorded 10 tackles and a pass defense.
