Browns Place K Jaden Oberkrom On Reserve/Retired List After Claiming Him

The Cleveland Browns announced Friday that they’ve placed K Jaden Oberkrom on the reserve/retired list and signed WR Dennis Parks to a contract.

The Browns just claimed Oberkrom off of waivers from the Jaguars on Thursday, but it appears as though he plans to retire from the NFL.

Oberkrom wound up signing on with the Jaguars after going undrafted out of TCU a few weeks ago. However, the Jaguars elected to place him on waivers Wednesday.

During his four-year college career at TCU, Oberkrom converted 57 of 73 field goal attempts (78.1 percent) to go along with 138 out of 190 extra point tries (72.6 percent).

Parks, 21, signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Rice just a few weeks ago. However, he was cut loose just three days later.

During his four years at Rice, Parks recorded 98 receptions for 1,507 yards receiving and eight touchdowns over the course of 47 games.
