Browns Place LB Tank Carder & OL Matt McCants On Injured Reserve

The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve placed LB Tank Carder and OL Matt McCants on injured reserve.

  • The Browns also waived S Justin Currie with an injury designation.

Carder, unfortunately, suffered an ACL injury that will require surgery and that will cost him the entire 2017 season.

Carder, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bills back in 2012. He lasted just a few months in Buffalo before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Browns.

Carder is currently in the final year of his two-year, $2.5 million contrac and set to make a base salary of $1.2 million for the 2017 season.

In 2016, Carder appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and recorded five tackles and no sacks.
