Browns Place RB Darius Jackson On I.R. After Clearing Waivers

The Cleveland Browns officially placed RB Darius Jackson on injured reserve Friday after passing through waivers unclaimed.

Jackson, 23, was selected in the sixth round of last year’s draft by the Cowboys. Dallas waived Jackson late last season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Browns.

The Browns elected to waive Jackson yesterday with an injury designation.

Jackson has yet to appear in an NFL game.

During his college career at Eastern Michigan, Jackson ran for 1,596 yards on 321 carries (5 YPC) to go along with 44 receptions for 375 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns.
