Browns Promote S Kai Nacua & LB B.J. Bello To Active Roster

The Cleveland Browns announced Friday that they’ve promoted S Kai Nacua and LB B.J. Bello to their active roster.

Nacua, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of BYU back in May. He stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract.

Unfortunately, Nacua was cut loose last week as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players. The Browns signed him to their practice squad soon after.

During college career at BYU, Nacua recorded 165 tackles, 14 interceptions with two behind returned for touchdowns, 12 pass defenses, a forced fumble and a recovery over the course of 38 games and four seasons.
