The Cleveland Browns announced that they’ve promoted TE Connor Hamlett to their active roster and waived S Don Jones.
Hamlett, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Oregon State back in May of last year before signing on with the Jaguars. Unfortunately, he was among the Jaguars’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Eagles’ practice squad during the season.
After a brief stint on the Saints’ practice squad, Hamlett signed a future/reserve contract with the Browns. However, he was once again unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Browns’ practice squad.
Hamlett has yet to appear in an NFL game.
