Browns QB Tyrod Taylor Suffered Dislocated Pinky

Update:

Ian Rapoport reports that Browns QB Tyrod Taylor’s injury to his left hand is minor, but he suffered a dislocated pinky.

Tyrod Taylor has returned to Thursday’s game after getting his left hand looked at in the locker room.

Browns QB Tyrod Taylor suffered what appears to be a hand injury during the first quarter of Thursday’s preseason game against the Eagles.

Taylor’s left wrist bent awkwardly while scrambling to make a play. He was clearly in pain but managed to run off the field.

The Browns’ medical staff took Taylor to the locker room for further evaluation.

Taylor, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2011. After four years in Baltimore, Taylor signed on with the Bills for the 2015 season. Buffalo elected to trade Taylor to the Browns for a third-round pick this past March.

Taylor is entering the final year of a two-year, $30.5 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $10 million next season.

In 2017, Taylor has appeared in 15 games and thrown for 2,799 yards while completing 62.6 percent of his passes to go along with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. He has also rushed for 427 yards and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 12 quarterback out of 40 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Taylor as the news is available.
