Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Browns RB Ben Tate is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with a sprained knee.

  • Rapoport adds that this will depend on how Tate heals in the coming weeks.

For the time being, Cleveland will look to Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell to carry the load while Tate is out.

Last week, West ran for 100 yards on 16 carries against the Steelers while Crowell totaled 32 yards and two touchdowns on five carries.

The Browns signed Tate to a two-year, $6.2 million contract that included $2.5 million guaranteed back in March.
