Browns RB Montario Hardesty On The Chopping Block?

Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland suggests that the addition of RB Trent Richardson could put Montario Hardesty in danger of being released.

Hardesty has battled through a history of injuries since he arrived in the NFL, but Grossi notes that he “doesn’t have (the versatility) to play on third down and special teams,” which leaves Brandon Jackson and Chris Ogbonnaya in a much better position. The Browns are expecting to use Richardson as a three-down player, but Jackson and Ogbonnaya could end up filling in on third-down situations.

Hardesty was drafted in the second-round, but has yet to live up any of the team’s expectations. This could very well end being a make or break training camp for him.
