The Browns officially re-signed restricted free agent S Don Jones on Wednesday.
Cleveland used a low-round tender on Jones that cost them $1,671,000 for the 2016 season, but gave them the right of first refusal had he received an offer from another team.
Jones, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Dolphins nack in 2013. He spent over a year in Miami before he was waived at the start of the 2104 season and later claimed by the Patriots.
Jones later returned to the Dolphins befofre signing onto the Saints’ practice squad at start of the 2015 season. The Browns wound up claiming off of waivers from the Saints in October.
In 2015, Jones appeared in 15 games and recorded six tackles.
