The Cleveland Browns announced the release of veteran OL Paul McQuistan on Friday.
McQuistan, 31, signed a two-year contract $3 million that included $750,000 guaranteed with the Browns last March.
Releasing McQuistan frees up $1.395 million in available cap space, according to OverTheCap.com. Cleveland will take on $375,000 in dead money from this move.
In 2014, McQuistan appeared in 14 games for the Browns. According to Pro Football Focus, McQuistan played a total of 121 snaps and had negative ratings in both run and pass-protection.
